Job Description

Thales is seeking an Industrial Management Technician intern for its Sensors and Actuators Production and Repair Unit in Chatellerault. The role focuses on optimizing production resources and measurement tools. Key responsibilities include improving the management of measurement equipment by identifying critical tools, defining roles, and establishing procedures, as well as managing consumables by mapping them, defining optimal storage, and benchmarking expiration date management tools. This position is ideal for a Bac+3/Bac+4 student with knowledge in physical measurements or general engineering.

You will join the Sensors and Actuators Autonomous Production and Repair Unit (APRU), specializing in the manufacture of aeronautical equipment such as accelerometers, flight control actuators, and cockpit displays (approximately 60 people).

In collaboration with Industrial resources, supply chain, and logistics functions, you will have 2 main missions:

1) Improvement of measurement tool management

  • Identify measurement tools
  • Define critical tools and propose solutions to be reactive in case of breakdown or metrology issues
  • Define and identify everyone's roles for managing the equipment fleet
  • Define, test, and improve the procedure
  • Train managers and metrology referents

2) Consumables management

  • Map consumables (designation, frequency of use, etc.)
  • Define the target storage for each consumable, balancing cost/efficiency/safety aspects
  • Organize the implementation of storage
  • Conduct a benchmark on expiration date management tools

Your profile

Do you aspire to complete your internship in aeronautics?

You are pursuing a Bac+3/Bac+4 degree with a focus on physical measurements, general engineering, or equivalent, and have knowledge in:

  • Office and basic computer tools
  • Chemical products
  • Electronic measurement tools

Are analytical skills, autonomy, rigor, and a sense of communication recognized as your strengths?

All our internships are conventioned and subject to gratification, the amount of which is determined according to your level of study.
