Job Description

This role is for an experienced Banking Project Manager for a Core Banking Application Migration for a Major Australian Bank. Responsibilities include managing internal and external stakeholders, leading a technical project team, and coordinating across multiple work streams. The focus will be on meeting key delivery dates and customer expectations, ensuring objectives are met within agreed timeframes, budget, and quality standards. This includes coordinating and triaging incoming work requests, managing estimation and resource assignment, creating and managing project schedules, performing regular risk assessment and management, developing status reporting, and managing the project through testing and implementation phases, completing project shutdown activities. The candidate will work closely with the project team and demonstrate an understanding of their competing priorities.

Must Have:
  • 5-10 years of experience in Project Management in Banking Finance
  • Demonstrated record of successful project delivery
  • People and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid knowledge of Banking and Finance industry
  • Strong Leadership and verbal and written communication skills
  • Disciplined and organized approach
  • Eagerness to learn, good initiative and flexibility
  • Eagerness to teach and share skills with team members
