This role is part of the People Function Portfolio Management Office team, supporting the planning and delivery of the division's change priorities. The Project Manager will lead global People Function strategic projects, supporting a Programme Director or working directly with a Business Lead. This fixed-term contract role focuses on supporting a busy period of change for the Function, covering People Function Transformation and wider initiatives, ensuring timely, in-budget, and in-scope project delivery.
Must have:
  • Identifies and handles project and programme dependencies.
  • Runs medium-scale projects that involve multiple collaborators/customers.
  • Ensures project charters, integrated project plans, resource and contingency plans are scoped and documented.
  • Partners with project sponsors/leads/collaborators to agree project objectives, timelines and success criteria.
  • Develops status reports to update key partners on project progress.
  • Anticipates issues and delays and evaluates trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, risk, etc.
  • Assesses and resolves high-priority project risks.
  • Leads project workstreams throughout the project lifecycle delivering results that meet the success objectives.
  • Supervises the project budget request process and performs regular financial reviews.
  • Ensures all projects follow the LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.
  • Represents the project in various governance forums.
  • Experience working on HR projects.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end HR cycle, HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation.
  • Experience of implementing organisational change.
  • Moderate experience in project management.
  • Experience of Project Management methodologies and tools, i.e. Asana, Microsoft Project.
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint.

(Please note that this is a fixed term contract role).

This role forms part of our People Function Portfolio Management Office team, which supports the planning and delivery of our division's change priorities. We provide consistent tools, support and guidance to ensure that all our people project activities are co-ordinated across all the different functions, divisions, and regions, while maintaining overall People Function oversight.

You will be assigned to lead a wide variety of our global People Function strategic projects, supporting a Programme Director or working directly with the Business Lead.

This fixed term role is to support a busy period of change for the Function covering People Function Transformation and wider initiatives.

Role Purpose: Leads medium-scale projects to ensure delivery that is timely, in budget and within scope.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Identifies and handles project and programme dependencies.
  • Runs medium-scale projects that involve multiple collaborators/customers, ensuring project charters, integrated project plans, resource and contingency plans are scoped and documented and that risk management processes are in place.
  • Partners with project sponsors/leads/collaborators (including customers) to agree project objectives, timelines and success criteria and develops status reports to update key partners on project progress.
  • Anticipates issues and delays and evaluates trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, risk, etc. assessing and resolving high-priority project risks.
  • Leads project workstreams throughout the project lifecycle delivering results that meet the success objectives.
  • Supervises the project budget request process and performs regular financial reviews, tracking and measuring financial performance against plan and validating financial forecasts.
  • Ensures all projects follow the LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.
  • Represents the project in various governance forums.

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience working on HR projects. Knowledge of end-to-end HR cycle, HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation.
  • Experience of implementing organisational change.
  • Moderate experience in project management.
  • Experience of Project Management methodologies and tools, i.e. Asana, Microsoft Project.
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint.
