What Does success mean in this role?

• 5–7 years of professional experience in software QA, including both manual and automation testing
• Proficiency with test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestCafe
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle
• Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, Zephyr
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar scripting/programming languages used in test automation
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment

Daily Activities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web and backend applications
• Create and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestCafe
• Test and validate REST APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or custom automation frameworks
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release activities to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
• Document defects clearly and track them through resolution using tools such as Jira
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand features and technical implementation
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Maintain and improve test plans, test cases, and documentation using test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr
