Madbox is a fast-growing mobile gaming company with a very unique way of developing games. Everything has been made for teams to take as much ownership as possible, unleash their creativity, bring performance, and have as much fun as possible.
Our New Games teams are pushing the limits of creativity and experimentation — exploring fresh gameplay ideas, iterating quickly, and turning prototypes into tomorrow’s hits. In this environment, quality is a key ingredient: it helps us validate concepts early, detect issues fast, and maintain a high standard across all our productions.

As a QA Intern, you will contribute directly to the creation of new games by supporting several early-stage projects in parallel. Through testing, feedback, and close collaboration with designers and developers, you will help ensure every prototype we ship internally is fun, stable, and ready for fast iteration.
This internship is a great opportunity to grow your QA skills, learn how new games are made, and be part of a dynamic and creative environment in our Barcelona office.
##### Your future responsibilities and scope:
- Test and validate frequent builds across multiple prototypes and early-stage games.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback on gameplay, clarity, usability, progression, and overall player experience.
- Own the bug backlog for the projects you support: create, prioritize, and follow up on issues with the team.
- Reproduce, isolate, and describe bugs with accurate steps and high-quality screenshots/videos.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and artists to help them narrow down issues and identify potential root causes.
- Proactively communicate risks, blockers, or quality concerns.
- Explore game builds creatively to uncover edge cases, inconsistencies, and unexpected behaviors.
- Participate in playtests and feedback sessions to help determine whether prototypes reach fun and retention expectations.
- Monitor stability indicators such as crashes, performance issues, or device-specific problems.
- Contribute to lightweight documentation (feature notes, sanity checklists, release validation steps) adapted to a fast-paced prototyping environment.
- Stay aligned with the rapid iteration mindset of the New Games teams, ensuring games remain testable and stable as they evolve quickly.
##### The profile we are looking for:
- Currently studying in a video game, computer science, or IT program.
- Passionate about the mobile gaming industry and eager to learn how new games are created.
- Methodical and logical thinker, able to structure testing approaches and spot inconsistencies.
- Strong communication skills: clear, respectful, collaborative.
- Curious and proactive, willing to question existing processes and contribute to improving them.
- Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
- Experience in QA (game or IT), familiarity with test plans or bug reporting tools, or knowledge of game design – is a plus, not a requirement.
