Job Summary

Madbox is seeking a Head of Creative Studio to lead the strategy and production of marketing creatives for Pocket Champs and upcoming titles. This role involves inspiring and growing the in-house team, managing external resources, designing scalable creative pipelines, and shaping content strategy. The Head of Creative Studio will work closely with UA and Game teams, leveraging data and AI to optimize performance and deliver impact at scale, reporting directly to the CRO.

Must Have

  • Drive the vision for the team, design the organization, recruit and coach new team members, manage OKRs, and maintain high "talent density."
  • Refine and scale creative workflows to maximize output, improve hit rates, and maintain top-tier quality.
  • Oversee and support the Creative Strategy department, ensuring alignment between strategic vision, creative production, and campaign performance.
  • Take full ownership of over a million-dollar creative budget, ensuring every dollar spent drives the best possible ROI.
  • Partner closely with UA Managers and Game Directors, understanding success metrics and translating performance data into actionable creative direction.
  • Leverage AI by integrating tools into the creative workflow to improve efficiency and unlock new possibilities.
  • Experience in management, specifically in team building, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
  • Able to challenge, support, and give feedback to the production team, while keeping an intense focus on improving hit rate and ROI.
  • Deep understanding of the mobile game marketing landscape, including ASO, Video, and Playables.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting key performance metrics (CPI, IPM, Retention) with the ability to apply these insights to optimize creative production.
  • Tech-savvy and excited by the potential of AI.
  • Excellent command of English with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

We’re looking for a Head of Creative Studio to own the strategy and production of creatives for Pocket Champs and our upcoming titles. The Creatives Studio sits at the heart of Madbox’s growth: mobile games thrive on user acquisition, and user acquisition depends on a constant stream of high-performing creatives.

You’ll inspire and grow our in-house marketing creative team, plus a network of agencies and freelancers. You’ll design scalable pipelines for creative hits, and shape the strategy that keeps our content ahead of the curve. You’ll work closely with the UA and Game teams, leveraging insights - and AI - to innovate, optimize, and deliver impact at scale. You’ll hold a strategic seat in the marketing organization, reporting directly to the CRO, and build a scalable engine for creative hits in the ever-evolving gaming market.

##### Your future responsibilities and scope:

  • Drive the vision for the team, design the organization, recruit and coach new team members, manage OKRs, and maintain high "talent density." You will be responsible for building a high-performing culture that blends internal talent with external resources
  • Refine and scale our creative workflows to maximize output, improve hit rates, and maintain top-tier quality for all types of creative assets. Build efficient pipelines that let the team grow without compromising creative standards and leverage both in-house and outsourcing production
  • Oversee and support the Creative Strategy department, ensuring alignment between strategic vision, creative production, and campaign performance
  • Take full ownership of over a million-dollar creative budget, ensuring every dollar spent drives the best possible ROI
  • Partner closely with UA Managers and Game Directors. You must be data-fluent, able to deeply understand success metrics, and translate performance data into actionable creative direction
  • Leverage AI by integrating tools into the creative workflow to improve efficiency and unlock new "out of the box" possibilities

##### The profile we are looking for:

  • Experience in management, specifically in team building, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and operationally - defining the vision for a new game launch while supporting and optimizing the day-to-day workflow of the team.
  • Able to challenge, support, and give feedback to the production team, while keeping an intense focus on improving hit rate and ROI
  • Deep understanding of the mobile game marketing landscape, including ASO, Video, and Playables. You know exactly what makes a creative convert.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting key performance metrics(CPI, IPM, Retention,..) with the ability to apply these insights to optimize creative production in collaboration with UA managers. You view creative production through a lens of performance metrics.
  • You are tech-savvy and excited by the potential of AI. You use technology to achieve objectives faster and more creatively.
  • Excellent command of English with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
