Job Summary
As a QA/Automation Engineer for Motorola's Assist Agents, a next-gen agentic AI for public safety, you will build seamless user experiences and robust APIs. Your role involves designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks across frontend and backend layers, ensuring full coverage for new features, and proactively identifying quality risks, especially in conversational AI and real-time APIs. You will enable CI/CD pipelines with fast, reliable test suites and help define quality standards for this mission-critical AI product.
Must Have
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across frontend (Angular/TypeScript) and backend (Node/Python/REST) surfaces
- Partner with engineers to ensure full coverage on new features, regression surfaces, and integration points
- Proactively identify test gaps, flaky scenarios, and quality risks—especially across conversational AI and real-time APIs
- Enable CI/CD pipelines with fast, reliable test suites that accelerate—not block—delivery
- Help define what quality looks like for a mission-critical AI product deployed in the real world
- 3–6+ years in software QA, test automation, or quality engineering roles
- Experience with modern web and API test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Postman, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into build workflows
- Strong understanding of frontend/backend architecture and where things tend to break
- Fluent English

As a QA/Automation Engineer, you’ll work across frontend and backend layers to build seamless user experiences and robust APIs. You’ll help craft agentic AI services, integrate with mission-critical systems, and continuously improve how public safety professionals interact with Assist.
