How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Operations team in the Manufacturing and Doors area, in the position of Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to Direct, coordinate, and maintain the improvement activities of the Total Quality System. This position will report directly to the Quality and QPS Management.
What do we want to know about you?
The career requirements for this position are:
- High school or Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or engineering area, with at least 3 years of experience in its respective application.
- Quality knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Manufacturing process knowledge.
- Welding inspection knowledge.
- English language, allowing reading and comprehension of instructional processes in English, as well as conducting conversations focused on technical aspects of manufacturing.
- Microsoft Office and Oracle.

What will your typical day be like?
- Direct and coordinate the activities of human resources focused on quality assurance and/or control, to support the areas assigned in the production process.
- Development of activities related to quality assurance within the manufacturing and doors areas. This includes inspection of raw material receipt, before, during, and after the production process, as well as the final product.
- Constant relationship with Clients and Suppliers to meet or exceed, improve, and maintain expected Total Quality levels.
- Performing analyses for problem solving related to the manufacturing and doors areas, as well as follow-up during the assignment and closure of different non-conformities.
- Participation in the generation, implementation, and follow-up of improvements within the processes with quality assurance.
- Generation and control of records related to each project in the manufacturing and doors areas.
- Qualify and certify personnel assigned to special processes, such as welding, painting, and non-destructive testing.
- Attend various audits related to the special processes of the manufacturing and doors areas, and provide the necessary support during internal and external audits related to the Quality Management System.
- Validate the processes and/or products of new projects, according to the scope of each one of them.
- Work together with other departments and engineers to achieve quality objectives.
- Control quality assurance measurement equipment, and ensure these equipment are calibrated.
What about the physical demands of the job?
The work is mainly carried out in a combined office and safe work area environment, having continuous interaction with production areas to ensure understanding of operational requirements, for which basic safety equipment must be used. You may also be asked to perform other tasks outside your role or trade, for which you will be provided with adequate training if necessary.
