Job Summary

The Software Quality Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. This role focuses on building robust test automation solutions for web, API, and database layers, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality releases. The engineer leverages modern tools, scripting languages, and best practices to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery cycles.

Must Have

  • Design and implement automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and database testing.
  • Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation.
  • Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Generate and analyze test execution reports; provide insights on quality metrics and trends.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, or other programming languages for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar UI automation tools.
  • Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for database validation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA practices.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing (Azure, AWS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Design and implement automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Framework Design: Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and database testing.
  • Integration: Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Defect Analysis: Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze test execution reports; provide insights on quality metrics and trends.
  • Continuous Improvement: Research and adopt new tools and techniques to enhance automation efficiency and coverage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, or other programming languages for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar UI automation tools.
  • Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
