Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Quality Systems and Processes Specialist (QSP) to ensure the efficient and effective implementation, monitoring, analysis, and improvement of the company’s systems and processes. The role involves coordinating compliance, aligning objectives with strategic direction, maintaining Food Safety System Certification and HACCP requirements, conducting audits, resolving departmental issues, and providing training. The specialist will report to the QSP Supervisor and contribute to promoting improvements in food safety and quality systems.
Must have:
  • Spearhead programs and initiatives for system and process monitoring, analysis, and improvement.
  • Coordinate with departments on compliance to established systems and processes.
  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of Food Safety System Certification and HACCP requirements.
  • Perform QMS/HACCP and other relevant audits.
  • Resolve departmental issues regarding Food Safety systems and processes effectively.
  • Conduct training on food safety systems & processes.
  • Assist QSP Supervisor in ensuring company guidelines and policies are up to date.
Good to have:
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in related work.
  • Familiarity with Looker Studio.

Job Description

The Quality Systems and Processes Specialist spearheads programs and initiatives in ensuring that the implementation of the Company’s systems and processes are regularly monitored, analyzed and improved for its efficient and effective operations. He/She reports the development of his/her outputs to the QSP Supervisor.

Provides assistance to QSP Supervisor in ensuring that the company’s guidelines & policies for systems and processes as well as External Interested Parties (e.g. customer and legal requirements) are implemented and up to date.

1. Coordinates with the departments on their compliance to the established systems and processes, ensuring that overall performance are reported, recorded and monitored.

2. Gives assistance to QSP Supervisor in ensuring that objectives of established systems and processes are aligned to the Context & Strategic direction of the organization through regular review

3. Ensures that requirements of the Food Safety System Certification and HACCP are implemented, maintained and regularly reviewed. Gives assistance to Quality Management System & HALAL Assurance System requirements.

4. Ensures that resources needed for the Food Safety/HACCP and QMS Certifications are provided and made available.

5. Supports stakeholders to contribute to the effectiveness of the Food Safety systems and processes.

6. Supports QSP Supervisor in promoting improvements of the established Food Safety and Quality systems and processes to other teams.

7. Performs QMS/HACCP and other relevant audits for various business processes.

8. Ensures that departmental issues regarding Food Safety systems and processes are resolved effectively and without undue delays.

9. Conducts training on food safety systems & processes to all relevant stakeholders.

10. Supports QSP Supervisor in providing assistance to suppliers and service providers audits.

11. Participates and contributes to the department’s scheduled meetings & discussions.

Other Responsibilities

1. Keep abreast with the new developments and advances on industry practices, quality management technology through attending seminars and conferences, networking with local and foreign quality experts and liaison with other quality institutions / organizations.

2. Participates in all Company initiatives and programs as well as provide support whenever necessary

3. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or any Science and Technology course.
  • Preferably with at least 1-2 years’ experience in related work
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge and understanding to Food Safety/HACCP and Quality Management System
  • Training and presentation skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Google Suite (familiarity with Looker Studio is preferrable).
  • Ability to establish interpersonal relationships.
  • Proactive and able to act on his or her own initiative.
  • Ability to handle, motivate and influence people.
  • Progressive thinking
  • Above average leadership skill
  • Good planning skills
  • Able to translate standard requirements to operations people

  • Willing to be based in Capas, Tarlac
