MerQube, established in 2019, is disrupting Index creation and systematic investing using state-of-the-art cloud-based technology. As a Quantitative Analyst (FE Product Servicing) in Bangalore, you will maintain and enhance index strategies across various asset classes like equities, futures, options, and multi-asset classes. You will use Python for calculations, collaborate with financial engineering and platform teams, and interact with clients to automate processes for daily and historical calculations, contributing to powerful financial engines.
Must Have:
  • Maintain, enhance, and corroborate index calculations using Python.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Engineering team on MerQube branded financial engines and indexing strategies.
  • Interface with clients and platform engineering for process automation.
  • Implement distributed systems using advanced Python programming.
  • Work with financial data sets and applications (FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, Bloomberg, Axioma, Barra).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming with a focus on financial data management.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative finance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

As a Quantitative Analyst (FE Product Servicing) at MerQube, you will be part of a dynamic and growing team, contributing to the evolution of the financial industry.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Analyst to join our FE Product Servicing team. Reporting to the Financial Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance of index strategies across various asset classes, including equities, futures, options, and multi-asset classes. You will have the opportunity to work on few of the best index strategies on the street that we calculate for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, enhance and corroborate index calculations using Python, with a focus on financial data management.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Engineering team to ensure correctness of MerQube branded financial engines and indexing strategies for major financial institutions.
  • Interface directly with clients and the platform engineering team, automating processes for daily and historical calculations to construct powerful financial engines.
  • Utilize advanced programming skills, especially in Python, to implement distributed systems and adhere to general software engineering principles.
  • Work with financial data sets and applications such as FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, Bloomberg, Axioma, and Barra.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a quantitative field (Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or Engineering) with equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on financial data management.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and the intersection of software and quantitative finance.
  • Experience with financial data sets and applications (FactSet, Reuters, Morningstar, Bloomberg, Axioma, Barra).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
