Job Description

As a Red Team Platform and Hardware Security Researcher, you will engineer exploits, provide insightful analysis, and implement innovative security features. You will consult with other teams on both hardware and software, audit code, and review designs. This role requires strong technical expertise and a passion for securing low-level systems by demonstrating vulnerabilities. You will work with teammates experienced in mobile and console research, binary instrumentation, SoC microarchitecture, compiler development, and applied fault injection. Responsibilities include providing hardware and firmware security design assistance, auditing security-critical firmware and hardware, creating tools for security verification and research, and reverse engineering exploits when necessary. Occasional travel to other Apple sites, vendors, and security conferences may be required.

You’ll be working alongside teammates with diverse technical backgrounds including mobile and console research, binary instrumentation, SoC microarchitecture, compiler development, applied fault injection, and more. In this role you will... - Provide hardware and firmware security design assistance - Audit security critical firmware and hardware. - Create tools that help automate security verification, testing, or research. - Reverse engineer exploits, if necessary. - This position may require occasional travel to other Apple sites, vendors, and security conferences.
