About the Role:
Fanatee is looking for a meticulous and culturally aware Regional Editor to support the French Canadian market. In this freelance, part-time role, you’ll help shape in-game content so it resonates with players in Quebec and reflects accurate language and cultural relevance.
Responsibilities:
- Review and localize in-game content into Quebecois French, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural alignment.
- Analyze and review game puzzles for tone, idiomatic expression, and regional appropriateness.
- Curate and input quotes or content from local authors and figures to enrich gameplay.
- Collaborate with content and localization teams to maintain editorial consistency across content.
- Offer clear feedback on improving localization quality and player engagement.
Requirements:
- Native fluency in French Canadian and deep knowledge of Quebecois culture and language nuances.
- Prior experience in localization, editing, or content review is preferred.
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Interest in word games, culture, and language-focused entertainment.
