Job Description

ByteDance's Doubao team is seeking a Research Scientist for Generative AI, Multimodal and LLM to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in computer vision and machine learning. Responsibilities include conducting research in generative AI, especially image, video, or 3D generation, transferring advanced technologies to ByteDance products, and exploring new AI-powered products. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in areas like multimodal generation, diffusion models, GANs, transformers for generation tasks, large-scale training, RLHF, and generative AI. They should be proficient in algorithms and programming, with strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Must have:

1-3 years of research experience in computer vision
Experience in generative AI (image, video, 3D generation)
Proficiency in algorithms and programming
Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Good to have:

Publications in top-tier venues like CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or SIGGRAPH Asia

Qualifications

Qualifications - 1-3 years of research and practical experience in one or more areas of computer vision, including but not limited to multimodal generation, diffusion model, GAN, transformer for generation tasks, large-scale training, RLHF, and generative AI. - Highly competent in algorithms and programming; Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python. - Work and collaborate well with team members. Preferred Qualifications - Preferring candidates with publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH or SIGGRAPH Asia, etc - Ability to work independently. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $205000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
