ByteDance Doubao Team is seeking a Research Scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in speech/audio foundation models. This role involves developing innovative speech/audio models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating research findings into practical applications. Must Have
- Master's or PhD in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field
- Experience in machine learning and deep learning
- Experience in Automatic Speech Recognition, Automatic Speech Translation, Speech/audio self-supervised learning and foundation models
- Publications in top-tier ML/DL venues
- Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python
Good to Have
- Experience in Speaker recognition and verification, Speech emotion recognition, Multimodal foundation models, Large Language Model pretraining and finetuning
- Deep understanding of Large Language models
- Familiarity with distributed computing and large scale model training
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow and Pytorch
- Familiarity with engineering principles and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environments

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $410000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
