Job Summary

Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in ASC 606, contract review, and billing and revenue processes. The role involves managing month-end close, collaborating cross-functionally, supporting audits, and analyzing revenue variances. A background in accounting, proficiency in Excel, and ERP system experience (e.g., Oracle) are required. Ideal candidates are adaptable, independent, and team-oriented.
Must have:
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of ASC 606
  • Ability to review complex contracts and understand billing requirements
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and reprioritize to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and understand the importance of working with a team
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales/FP&A and various cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues
  • Participate in External and Internal audits
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as required
  • Review revenue and forecast variances and provide explanations for discrepancies
  • Own revenue month-end close process for assigned products
  • Preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue, and accounts receivable
  • Flexible open mindset with the ability to adapt to changing procedures and follow them
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting or relevant field of study
  • Strong knowledge and experience in invoicing, billing, and/or accounts receivable functions
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ability to analyze large sets of data (Pivots, VLOOKUP, Advanced formulas)
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal employees and clients
  • Strong sense of ownership, excellent analytic, problem solving, and investigative skills
  • Experience working with Oracle or other large-scale enterprise resource planning systems
  • Intermediate experience within a corporate accounting environment, preferably in the software or manufacturing industry

The Opportunity

“We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in ASC 606, contract review, and billing and revenue processes. What You’ll Contribute

  • Knowledge and experience in the application of ASC 606.
  • Ability to review complex contracts and understand billing requirements.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and reprioritize to meet tight deadlines.
  • Gatekeeper of own tasks and timely escalation.
  • Ability to work independently and understand the importance of working with a team.
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales/FP&A and various cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues.
  • Participate in External and Internal audits.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Review revenue and forecast variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
  • Own revenue month-end close process for assigned products. Comfortable with the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Flexible open mindset with the ability to adapt to changing procedures and follow them.

What We’re Seeking

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting or relevant field of study.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in invoicing, billing, and/or accounts receivable functions.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ability to analyze large sets of data (Pivots, VLOOKUP, Advanced formulas)
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal employees and clients holding a wide range of positions e.g. clerks to middle/upper management.
  • Strong sense of ownership, excellent analytic, problem solving, and investigative skills.
  • Experience working with Oracle or other large-scale enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Intermediate experience within a corporate accounting environment, preferably in the software or manufacturing industry.
