Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical RMA Spares Planner & Controller with expertise in inventory planning, cost tracking, and dashboard presentation. This role is responsible for managing spare part availability for returned merchandise repairs, tracking inventory across internal sites and Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and monitoring inventory carrying costs. The ideal candidate will also create and present dashboards to support operational visibility and continuous improvement.
Good To Have:

  • Certification in supply chain (APICS, CSCP, CPIM) or inventory management.
  • Exposure to lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Must Have:
  • Forecast and manage spare part requirements for RMA workflows based on past consumption.
  • Ensure timely availability of spare parts to support product repair and replacement processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and CMs to manage replenishment and lead times.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spares across internal warehouses and associated CMs.
  • Ensure visibility and reconciliation of inventory between organization and CM locations.
  • Track inventory carrying costs, including storage, insurance, depreciation, and opportunity costs.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and initiate actions to minimize excess inventory.
  • Support finance and supply chain teams in calculating and optimizing working capital tied to spare inventory.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all spare part transactions related to RMAs.
  • Analyze part usage, turnaround times, and failure trends to optimize inventory planning.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements regarding spares movement and accountability.
  • Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to visualize inventory status, carrying cost trends, RMA volumes, cycle times, and KPI performance.
  • Present dashboards and analysis to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive decision-making through visual storytelling and performance reporting.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, finance, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve RMA-related issues.
  • Work closely with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions and reporting.
  • Support supply chain audits and financial reviews with data and documentation.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory visibility, reduce costs, and enhance RMA turnaround times.
  • Support automation and digitization projects for RMA and inventory control processes.
  • Implement lean methodologies to streamline planning and minimize waste.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in spare parts planning, RMA processes, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel.
  • Experience tracking inventory and costs across internal and external/CM locations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and inventory control processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of inventory carrying cost components and cost optimization practices.

Key Responsibilities:

RMA and Spare Parts Planning:

  • Forecast and manage spare part requirements for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) workflows based on Past consumption in respective product family.
  • Ensure timely availability of spare parts to support product repair and replacement processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and CMs to manage replenishment and lead times.

Inventory Tracking & Cost Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels of spares across internal warehouses and associated CMs.
  • Ensure visibility and reconciliation of inventory between organization and CM locations.
  • Track inventory carrying costs, including storage, insurance, depreciation, and opportunity costs.

  • KPI performance (fill rates, stockouts, aging RMAs)
  • Present dashboards and analysis to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive decision-making through visual storytelling and performance reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with engineering, quality, finance, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve RMA-related issues.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
