The Sales and Business Development Representative will identify target prospects and customers, generate qualified opportunities through outreach, and work closely with Sales & Marketing Teams. This role involves developing strategic target lists, creating tactics to reach prospects, scheduling discovery calls, and managing opportunities in Salesforce. The ideal candidate is analytical, metrics-driven, and focused on new logo and net new sales, contributing to accelerating and enhancing the sales cycle.

  • Record and track all activity in Salesforce and other required tools.
  • Create strategic emails to target prospect and corporate accounts.
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify new leads and obtain contact information.
  • Consistently meet or exceed qualified lead and meeting quotas.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience of B2B prospecting and sales, having consistently exceeded key performance metrics.

OVERVIEW

The Pharmacy and Health Technology Solutions Sales and Business Development Representative will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Teams to identify target prospects and customers through Salesforce and other marketing automation efforts. The Sales Development Representative will serve as the front-line in prospect outreach to generate qualified opportunities to pursue. You should be analytical, metrics-driven, and able to identify business challenges and opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Sales Manager to develop and define a strategic target list of key prospects across segments
  • Develop creative tactics and strategies to reach target prospects; schedule qualified discovery calls with said target prospects; generate qualified meetings
  • Work on new logo and net new sales opportunities
  • Work and develop opportunities with named corporate accounts
  • Build strategies for exploring potential subscription opportunities for Commercial Sales
  • Record and track all activity in Salesforce, and other required tools as identified, to provide background and next steps for the Marketing and Sales Manager to ensure alignment of teams as well as effective follow up with prospects
  • Create strategic emails to target prospect and corporate accounts
  • Conduct on-going research to identify new leads, obtain contact information
  • Working closely with Sales Manager and Business Development Reps. to accelerate and enhance the sales cycle
  • Consistently meet or exceed qualified lead and meeting quotas

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or related experience

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience of B2B prospecting and sales, having consistently exceeded key performance metrics; or related experience.
  • Outbound sales experience preferred.

TRAVEL: ~10% domestic travel

Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
