Job Description

Morningstar Latin America Team seeks a highly motivated Senior Sales Director focused on impactfully growing a book of assigned clients and prospects within the Wealth Management, Asset Management and Retirement segments. You will represent Morningstar’s suite of capabilities including Data, Research, Software and will work with Sales Specialists on opportunities for Indexes, Market Data, Investment Management. This role covers opportunities across Central America, South America (Ex-Brazil) and the Caribbean.
Must have:
  • Exceed growth targets.
  • Uncover client business needs and work internal teams to determine optimal solution.
  • Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business groups and opportunities within the accounts.
  • Employ winning strategies to maintain and grow adoption of Morningstar Direct and leverage the installed user base to deploy additional solutions.
  • Master product demonstrations and knowledge of product capabilities and benefits.
  • Forecast and proactively uncover opportunities within key business groups.
  • Negotiate and close business.
  • Develop growth plans for accounts.
  • Document daily activities in SFDC.
  • Team Player

You will represent Morningstar’s suite of capabilities including Data, Research, Software and will work with Sales Specialists on opportunities for Indexes, Market Data, Investment Management. This role covers opportunities across Central America, South America (Ex-Brazil) and the Caribbean. This position will be based in Santiago, Chile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Exceed growth targets.
  • Uncover client business needs and work internal teams to determine optimal solution.
  • Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business groups and opportunities within the accounts.
  • Employ winning strategies to maintain and grow adoption of Morningstar Direct and leverage the installed user base to deploy additional solutions.
  • Master product demonstrations and knowledge of product capabilities and benefits.
  • Forecast and proactively uncover opportunities within key business groups.
  • Negotiate and close business.
  • Develop growth plans for accounts.
  • Document daily activities in SFDC.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have at least seven (5) years of sales and account management experience in the finance and investment industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding prior annual sales targets.
  • Prior experience in a hunter role.
  • Ability to build long-term client relationships with executive and senior leadership within an assigned book of business through a hands-on, organized approach.
  • Strong leadership, long-range strategic planning, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.
  • Ability to understand complex investment concepts.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CFA a plus
  • Languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.
