The Business Analyst III will partner with the IS Project Management team to identify, plan, implement, test, and maintain the Salesforce.com CRM solution. This role involves leading design, development, maintenance, and support of complex Salesforce.com solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes. Responsibilities include performing work in compliance with company policy, understanding bioMerieux's mission, participating in agile environments, gathering requirements, and providing excellent customer service.
Must have:
  • Partner with IS Project Management for Salesforce.com CRM solution.
  • Lead design, development, maintenance, and support of Salesforce.com solutions.
  • Apply IT principles to research, design, configure, test Salesforce.com.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, understanding business processes.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and Quality System.
  • Participate in agile environment and all SDLC phases.
  • Gather requirements and prepare detailed technical documentation.
  • Provide excellent ongoing customer service and adhere to SLAs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project deliverables.
  • BS degree in computer science or 5 years Salesforce.com experience.
  • Experience in customer services with high satisfaction.
  • Experience in SDLC and quality assurance processes.
Good to have:
  • Experience working with applications like SAP, ServiceNow, Tableau.

Description

Business Analyst III will partner with the IS Project Management team to identify, plan, implement, test, and maintain the Salesforce.com CRM solution. The Business Analyst III will participate in and may lead design, development, maintenance, and support of complex Salesforce.com solutions to support business activities. It is also expected that there is an understanding of how our work relates to business processes in order to provide value to the organization through high quality customer service to internal parties and building strong relationships with our stakeholders.

Apply knowledge of IT principles, business processes and standards to research, design, configure, develop, test and debug Salesforce.com. Evaluate and understand integration dependencies associated with hardware, software, business requirements, and system characteristics while adhering to strategies, policies, and standards associated with tasks being performed.

Work on several projects simultaneously, understanding business processes through all applications to complete projects. Interact with business and technical users through all levels of the organization.

Primary Duties

1. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux’s Quality System.

2. Understand bioMerieux’s technical and scientific mission. Understand technical and functional components of bioMerieux.

3. Participate in and may lead collaboration efforts with various internal teams, providing excellent ongoing customer service.

4. Work in an agile environment by participating in all applicable phases of project and software development life cycles.

5. Constructs recommendations and strategic plans based on business needs and data

6. Participate in all phases of the project life cycle and SDLC

7. Partner with the business by gaining an understanding of their needs and contribute to solutions that meet their goals/objectives.

8. Gather requirements and prepare detailed technical documentation for software releases. (e.g. technical specifications, V&V forms, etc.)

9. Provide excellent ongoing customer service and adhere to our internal and external service level agreements.

10. Follow standards for change control and configuration management with a focus on communication to key stakeholders.

11. Work with the Software Project Manager and team to identify risks to project deliverables and recommend mitigation strategy as needed. Develop alternative solutions as required.

12. Support user adoption efforts related to new applications, change management and business process flow.

13. Effectively communicate ideas and facilitate cross-functional meetings as needed.

14. Complete work activities on time with some supervision.

15. Continually update technical knowledge and skills, especially in regards to Salesforce.com.

16. Write and maintain project documents.

17. Ensure adherence to the software release process.

18. Design software features to ensure software quality, cost, and timeline.

19. Determine risks of software modifications to overall software quality.

20. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree in computer science, IS, IT or related field or at 5 years of relevant experience working in Salesforce.com
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of 9 years’ experience of relevant experience working in Salesforce.com
  • Experience in customer services with a high record of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in SDLC and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience working with applications like SAP, ServiceNow, Tableau a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of best practices in software development.
  • Attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to complete objectives with moderate supervision.
  • Orientation for detail work product, with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and flow chart software.
  • Must demonstrate ability to complete objectives with little supervision.

  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team with international business experience
