SAP System Administrator

ARHS Group – part of Accenture is looking for a System Administrator with Netweaver experience for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Context

System administration ensures that the needed SAP systems are installed, up, and running and prevents any possible technical disruption of productive operations. In other words, it ensures availability, confidentiality and integrity of the system and its data.

Role & responsibilities

• Installing new SAP systems and clients and integrating them in the system landscape (solution manager, transport routes, …) 
• Maintaining and documenting the system landscape
• Proposing and implementing changes to the technical architecture or individual systems, in order to improve the system reliability (logging, monitoring functions, SAP self service services, adaptation of system profiles and parameters, etc…)
• Proposing, implementing, documenting and executing system administration procedures/instructions
• Updating/upgrading existing systems with patches, support packages, enhancement packs and releases
• Copying or refreshing test environments optionally including the setup and usage of the Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) data scrambling and time slicing services 
• Moving systems to new hardware or virtualised systems
• Monitoring the systems proactively and preventing or reporting potential issues or problems (health checks for example on performance, disk space, or other technical criteria)  
• Monitoring the system (CCMS, logs, and other routine checks) and reporting incidents
• Processing identified incidents and service requests related to system administration, such as for example: management of user accounts, or administration of transports 
• Providing assistance during OS upgrades
• Technical consulting specialised on Netweaver Application Servers
• All services shall be performed in perfect compliance with the programme quality plan and the security regulations

• Sharing relevant knowledge with the internal team
• Planning and explaining the best approach for a service
• Documenting executed interventions and proposed procedures
• Evaluating effort of forecasted system administration services
• Providing technical requirements for the datacenter, which is in charge of the server and network infrastructure
• Coordination with technical consultants, and the datacenter.

Technical skills

• Technical writing
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of web application servers
• Knowledge of RHEL operating system 
• At least 3 years IT experience
• At least 2 years SAP field experience
• At least 10 training days in SAP or software development methods in the last 2 years
• Performed at least 2 SAP installations
• Experience of administration of a system of more than 100 users

Certification

• SAP certification: C_TADM_21 - SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA System Administration
• or alternatively demonstrated attendance of the following trainings (Mandatory trainings are meant to ensure an appropriate technical understanding. Equivalent trainings can be accepted):
  • Database Administration :TADM55 or HA200
  • Installations and Patching SAP Systems: TADM12 or ADM110 (SAP S/4HANA)
  • SAP Fiori (Fundamentals and Administration: (TADM10 & TADM12) or (UX100 SAP S/4HANA & UX200 SAP S/4HANA)
  • Transport Management: TADM12 or ADM325
  • System Administration AS ABAP & Browser-based UI (Administrative Tasks): (TADM10 & TADM12) or (ADM100 & ADM103)
  • SAP Systems Concepts: TADM10 or (SAPTEC SAP S/4HANA & ADM100)
  • System Administration (AS Java) & User Administration (AS ABAP and/or AS Java): (TADM10 & TADM12) or (ADM100 & ADM800 SAP Netweaver AS JAVA 7.50)
  • SAP Solution Manager Configuration for Operations: SM100
