Lilith Games is seeking a Senior/Expert SD Material Artist for an Urban Life Simulation project in Shanghai. The role involves leading the design and production of high-quality stylized procedural textures, collaborating with various 3D teams, and optimizing material workflows within the engine. Responsibilities also include developing tools, managing outsourcing standards, and ensuring asset quality. Candidates should have over five years of experience in game or film material production, with proficiency in Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Maya, and ZBrush, along with strong cross-team collaboration and outsourcing management skills.

Must Have

1. Lead the design and production of high-quality stylized procedural textures based on the project's art style.

2. Collaborate closely with 3D scene, lighting, rendering, and technical art teams to ensure the final effect and performance optimization of procedural materials within the engine.

3. Responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the procedural texture library and material workflow, and writing relevant technical documentation.

4. Formulate outsourcing material asset production standards and acceptance processes, and collaboratively advance the quality and progress of scene assets.

5. Develop and maintain material-related procedural tools and node sets to improve team production efficiency.

Job Requirements

1. Five or more years of material production experience in the game or film and television industry, familiar with stylized and PBR production processes, with lead project experience preferred.

2. Proficient in Substance Designer, Substance Painter, skilled in using core production software such as Maya, ZBrush, and master the integration and optimization of materials in the engine.

3. Possess cross-team collaboration skills, able to communicate efficiently with scene, TA, outsourcing, and other links, and promote the implementation of material solutions.

4. Possess outsourcing management or collaboration experience, able to set standards and effectively control the quality and production progress of material assets.

5. Have a high pursuit of material quality, possess excellent learning and technical research abilities, able to adapt to fast-paced development and continuously contribute innovative solutions.
