Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Engineer - Testing & Commissioning (T&C) with over 10 years of total professional experience, including a minimum of 4 years in metro rail projects. The role involves planning, executing, and overseeing the testing and commissioning of metro systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. The engineer will conduct functional, integration, and performance testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results within set timelines.
Must Have
- Graduate in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- Minimum 10 years of total professional experience in engineering roles
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in metro rail projects, specifically in testing and commissioning activities
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing and commissioning of metro systems
- Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing of systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during T&C phase
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including test plans and reports
- Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed by the T&C team
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify system performance
- Implement and enforce safety protocols during T&C activities
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure a safe working environment

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a robust engineering background, with over 10 years of total professional experience and a minimum of 4 years dedicated to metro rail projects. This role involves overseeing the testing and commissioning of systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and delivering high-quality results within set timelines.
Job Duties:
- Plan, execute, and oversee the testing and commissioning of metro systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing of systems such as signaling, electrical, communication, and rolling stock.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the T&C phase.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and execution of T&C activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations during T&C activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports, and issue logs.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed by the T&C team.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify system performance and reliability.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols during T&C activities.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline).
