Job Description

The Security Systems Technician will be proficient in both installation and service, responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various security systems. This includes access control panels, IP cameras, VMS systems, intercoms, and electrified door hardware. The role requires experience with systems like Software House, Lenel, and Genetec, along with skills in diagnosing circuits, sensors, and components. Responsibilities also involve conducting system inspections, preventive maintenance, and providing technical support and user training to clients.
Must have:
  • Proficient in security system installation and service.
  • Experience with access control panels, IP cameras, VMS, and intercoms.
  • Skilled in terminating electrical and data wiring.
  • Capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining security systems.
  • Conduct system inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrified door hardware.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for equipment service.
  • Diagnose and repair circuits, sensors, and components.
  • Install and test backup batteries, program keypads, troubleshoot sirens.
  • Provide technical support and user training to clients.
  • Experience with Software House, Lenel, Salient, Genetec, or Avigilon/Motorola.

Experienced in install/programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and programming of access control panels, door position switches, various types of card readers, sensors, analog and IP cameras, VMS systems, intercoms, anti-tailgating devices, electrified door hardware, and the termination of electrical and data wiring,

Qualifications

Actively working with security systems, including IP cameras, access control devices, electrified door hardware, video management and recording appliances, intercoms, low-voltage systems, and other various security equipment.

Experience in 1 or more systems including; Software house, Lenel, Salient, Genetec, Avigilon/Motorola, etc.

Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining security systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Conduct system inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.

Troubleshoot and repair electrified door hardware, ensuring seamless integration with security systems.

Utilize hand tools and power tools to service and replace equipment following relevant codes and manufacturer specifications.

Diagnose, test, and repair circuits, sensors, and components following wiring and system specifications.

Install, test, and replace backup batteries, program keypads, troubleshoot sirens, and verify proper system operation.

Provide technical support to clients, assisting with system operation, user training, and troubleshooting guidance.
