Job Description

Flock Safety is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer (Product) to enhance our platform and network data, specifically focusing on LTE and AWS usage. This role involves defining, building, and owning end-to-end analytical solutions, developing scalable data pipelines using Redshift, dbt, SQL, and Git, and designing impactful dashboards in Sigma to guide key business decisions and expand self-service data adoption.

  • 5+ years of impact-driven experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or Data Analyst.

The Opportunity

Flock’s rapid growth has created additional demand for analytics support for Product. Specifically, this role will help lead the charge on enhancements to our platform and network data, used daily by our customer experience and product analytics team. In addition, they will own data modeling related to LTE and AWS usage which will empower product, operational, and financial decisions.

As an Analytics Engineer, you will:

  • Lead with data by defining, building, and owning end-to-end analytical solutions — from modeling to pipeline to dashboard — that guide key business decisions.
  • Develop with an Analytics-as-Code mindset, leveraging Redshift, dbt, SQL, and Git to deliver scalable, version-controlled data pipelines and trusted metrics.
  • Design streamlined, impactful dashboards (in Sigma) that empower stakeholders with fast, clear insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Own data products end-to-end, taking radical responsibility to establish single sources of truth and expand self-service data adoption across Flock.

The Skillset

  • 5+ years of impact-driven experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or Data Analyst, with a track record of turning raw data into business-changing insights
  • Strong communicator and problem-solver, able to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions for complex, ambiguous challenges
  • SQL powerhouse with proven expertise in dbt and Git, driving scalable, version-controlled analytics workflows
  • Data modeling champion, experienced in implementing best practices within enterprise data warehouses to ensure accuracy and performance
  • Builder of modern BI solutions (Sigma experience a strong plus), delivering intuitive dashboards and reports that enable smarter, faster decisions
  • Experience with large data (i.e. device telemetry, network, LTE/AWS data); proven partner to Product and Operations teams
  • Forward-looking innovator, experimenting with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Glean) to streamline internal workflows and unlock new ways of enabling the business

First 30 Days

  • Get up to speed on Flock’s tools, data ecosystem, and customers
  • Take ownership of tickets and begin contributing to our product data architecture
  • Draft the first iteration of updated platform and sharing data model

First 60 Days

  • Fully integrated as a Flock Analytics Engineer, embedded in our workflows and team flow
  • Deployment of owned platform and sharing data model
  • Modeled enhancements to LTE data architecture

90 Days & Beyond

  • Deliver a production-ready LTE data model
  • Integrated into AWS reporting pipeline and working towards product and service enhancements
  • Supporting larger Product and Product Operations teams at a strategic level

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $125,000 - $175,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
