Job Summary
CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Architecture & Outsource Artist for The Witcher 4. This role involves coordinating architectural asset production between internal teams and outsourcing partners, ensuring high-quality standards and smooth integration across pipelines. The artist will be the central point of contact for all architecture-related matters, managing dependencies, organizing the architectural backlog in Jira, and driving process improvements. The position requires strong hands-on knowledge in 3D content creation and excellent communication skills.
Must Have
- Be the go-to person for all things architecture on the project
- Coordinate asset production between internal teams and outsourcing partners
- Stay aligned with Environment team goals and help spot roadblocks early
- Connect architecture planning across teams and manage dependencies
- Keep the architectural backlog organized and up to date in Jira
- Support estimation, prioritization, and communication of architecture needs
- Drive clarity and transparency through updates, documentation, and Confluence workflows
- Champion process improvements and workflow consistency across teams
- Experience in modeling and texturing, with solid pipeline knowledge
- Proficiency in Blender or other leading 3D content creation tools (e.g. 3Ds Max, Maya)
- Very good knowledge of ZBrush
- Very good knowledge of Substance Painter and Photoshop
- Strong grasp of composition, color theory, and lighting
- Very good knowledge of physically based rendering (PBR)
- Experience working with or within an outsource studio
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong coordination skills and ability to manage cross-team tasks
- Fluent in English
Good to Have
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Familiarity with Jira and documentation tools like Confluence

This is a key ownership role for someone who thrives on aligning people, process, and visuals—ensuring architectural assets meet our high-quality standards while smoothly integrating across teams and pipelines. You'll act as the central point of contact for all architecture-related matters, balancing hands-on knowledge with coordination and clear communication.
Daily Responibilites
- Be the go-to person for all things architecture on the project.
- Coordinate asset production between internal teams and outsourcing partners.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in the video games industry
- Experience in modeling and texturing, with solid pipeline knowledge
- Proficiency in Blender or other leading 3D content creation tools (e.g. 3Ds Max, Maya)
- Very good knowledge of ZBrush
- Very good knowledge of Substance Painter and Photoshop
- Strong grasp of composition, color theory, and lighting
- Very good knowledge of physically based rendering (PBR)
- Process-oriented, highly organized, with excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with or within an outsource studio
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong coordination skills and ability to manage cross-team tasks
- Fluent in English
