METRO, an international food wholesaler in Austria, is seeking a full-time Head Chef (m/f/d) for its Vösendorf wholesale market. The role involves leading the restaurant, developing new concepts, managing the team and budget, creating culinary experiences, and ensuring high standards and HACCP compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gastronomy, leadership experience, and a commitment to quality.

Must Have

• Lead the restaurant and help with new conception and positioning
• Lead the restaurant team and take responsibility for the budget
• Responsible for the position as head chef

• Ensure standards and implement HACCP hygiene guidelines
• Sound training in gastronomy/hotel industry

Your tasks:

• You manage our restaurant and help with the new conception and positioning
• You lead the restaurant team and take responsibility for the budget
• You are responsible for this responsible position as head chef
• You create a culinary concept in cooperation with colleagues from the head office
• You create an exceptional guest experience
• You ensure our standards and implement hygiene guidelines according to HACCP

Your qualifications:

• You have sound training in gastronomy/hotel industry (cook, restaurant specialist, etc.)
• You have several years of professional experience as a restaurant manager, ideally in a system catering operation
• You have already gained experience in team leadership
• You bring a high awareness of quality and standards in kitchen operations
• You convince with your professional appearance and your strong social competence
• You are flexible, work independently and show high commitment
• You are proficient in MS-Office

For the sake of good order, we state that a collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 2,471 gross per month on a full-time basis applies to this position.
