Job Summary

TOMRA North America, a leading international reverse vending and recycling company, is seeking an Installation Technician. This role involves the installation, calibration, and testing of reverse vending machines, performing quality inspections, diagnosing malfunctions, and providing customer training. The technician will also maintain equipment and company vehicles, complete service reports, and adhere to company standards. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Must Have

  • Installation, calibration and test of company reverse vending machines and associated equipment
  • Perform quality inspections on company installed equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions
  • Conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Maintain and report activity according to work order specification, company standards and procedures
  • Maintain personal tools and special equipment in proper operating condition
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic service reports and other required documentation
  • Follow all company rules and regulations
  • Safely and effectively use hand and power tools and all special tooling and equipment
  • Use multi-meters for testing electrical points
  • Basic operational knowledge of computers
  • Clean, valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical field service or equivalent

Job Description

  • Installation, calibration and test of company reverse vending machines and associated equipment in accordance to company approved installation methods and standards.
  • Perform quality inspections on company installed equipment per company procedures and guidelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain and report activity according to work order specification, company standards and procedures.
  • Maintain personal tools and special equipment in proper operating condition by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies and proper inventory levels; performing preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Maintain company vehicle in good working order. Follow designated vehicle maintenance plan.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic service reports and other required documentation on customer service visits, repairs and supply deliveries.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools and all special tooling and equipment provided for efficient and safe installation of equipment. Must be able to use multi-meters for testing electrical points. Have a basic operational knowledge of computers. A clean, valid driver’s license is required.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field of electro-mechanical field service or equivalent is required.
