Job Summary
CIMA+ is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician for their Rouyn-Noranda office. This role involves participating in the design, modeling, and execution of plans for road infrastructure and various projects. Responsibilities include site supervision, collaborating with the civil engineering team, performing surveying, and assisting with construction tasks. In the office, the technician will contribute to producing plans and specifications for roads, bridges, and airports, estimating costs, managing 3D models, and developing technical reports. A flexible hybrid work model is offered.
Must Have
- Participate in the supervision of infrastructure, road, and engineering structure construction sites
- Collaborate with the civil engineering team to solve problems on site
- Perform surveying, prepare plans, and verify structure implementation
- Work in the field and assist the project team with construction tasks
- Participate in producing plans and specifications for roads, bridges, and airports
- Support design by evaluating material quantities, estimating costs, and project scheduling
- Create and manage 3D road design models
- Update technical documents according to project evolution
- Participate in developing studies and technical reports
- College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Proficiency in French, both oral and written
- Completed safety training on construction sites (ASP construction card)
- Access to a motor vehicle

We are looking for a civil engineering technician to join our large team of specialists at our Rouyn-Noranda office. You will have the opportunity to participate in the design, modeling, and execution of plans for road infrastructure and projects of all types and scales.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model allowing you to work from home and from our Rouyn-Noranda office.
Main responsibilities
Site supervision:
- Participate in the supervision of infrastructure, road, and engineering structure construction sites;
- Collaborate with the civil engineering team and participate in solving problems on site;
- Perform various surveying surveys, prepare plans, and verify the implementation of structures;
- Work in the field and assist the project team with tasks following the completion of construction work.
Design (office):
- Participate in the production of plans and specifications for various infrastructures: roads, bridges, and airports;
- Support the team in design by participating in the evaluation of required material quantities, estimation of work costs, and project schedule;
- Create and manage 3D road design models;
- Update technical documents according to project evolution;
- Participate in the development of studies and technical reports.
Qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering
- Experience in the construction industry (an asset)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Surveying experience (an asset)
- Proficiency in French, both oral and written
- Completed safety training on construction sites (ASP construction card)
