• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficient in general computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Reliable transportation to the Fairview Heights, IL office and any regional travel
• Strong writing skills for writing reports
• Problem Solving/Analysis skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Self-motivated

Job Description

As an Industrial Hygiene Field Technician Intern, you will work with a team of experts to perform environmental, health and safety consulting services and provide unparalleled client service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gaining experience working directly with clients and project representatives (adjusters, brokers, insurers, property owners or managers, public and government entities, commercial and private companies, etc.).
• During necessary site visits you will obtain related project documents including sampling and notes.
• Assisting with field inspections and necessary site visits to evaluate the scope of work/damage.
• Assisting on any number of projects at various stages of completion.
• Assisting in preparing studies and reports following standard format and procedures.
• Assist in Investigating, measuring and evaluating environmental, health and safety conditions at client locations and carrying out relevant research, development, planning to complete comprehensive reports for review by senior staff.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both your major and overall.
• Proficient in general computer skills as well as Microsoft office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Reliable transportation to the Fairview Heights, IL office and any regional travel that may be necessary.
• Strong writing skills for writing reports.
• Problem Solving/Analysis skills
• We are looking for someone who works well in a team environment and is self-motivated.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $20 - $24 per hour. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
