Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Automation Engineer (Data Science) to join our Analytics & Data Science team in Pune. This role involves designing and maintaining automation frameworks for ML models, data pipelines, and analytics solutions. You will validate containerized ML models in Kubernetes environments, perform performance testing, and configure Kubernetes resources for optimal efficiency. The position requires strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with cloud platforms to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions against financial crime.
Must have:
  • Design and maintain automation frameworks for ML models, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
  • Validate containerized ML models in Kubernetes environments using Helm.
  • Perform performance testing (load, stress, scalability) of ML models.
  • Configure Kubernetes resources (CPU, memory, pods) for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Set up and manage cloud-based test environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Translate functional requirements into detailed test strategies and automated suites.
  • Automate manual testing processes using Python, SQL, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to validate model outputs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct data validation, ETL testing, and automation of pre/post-processing tasks.
  • Generate client-facing performance reports with actionable insights.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and SaaS delivery.
  • Identify gaps and propose best practices for testing standards and process improvements.
  • 5–7 years of experience in automation engineering, QA, or ML/data testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and data validation.
  • Solid understanding of ML model lifecycle and deployment methods (PMML, JAR, containers).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong background in data handling (ETL, large datasets).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
Good to have:
  • Exposure to Scala.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools and resource optimization.
  • Knowledge of Actimize solutions and experience in Fraud/AML/Finance domain.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud-based SaaS delivery models.
  • Exposure to distributed environments and test automation at scale.

You’ll be at the forefront of validating ML/AI-driven models, containerized applications, and enterprise-scale data systems. You’ll help us fight financial crime by ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.

How will you make an impact?

You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the delivery of high-quality analytics platforms. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and stability of ML models used to detect fraud, money laundering, and compliance violations.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and maintaining automation frameworks for ML models, data pipelines, and analytics solutions.
  • Validating containerized ML models in Kubernetes environments using Helm.
  • Performing performance testing (load, stress, scalability) of ML models.
  • Configuring Kubernetes resources (CPU, memory, pods) for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Setting up and managing cloud-based test environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Have you got what it takes?

  • 5–7 years of experience in automation engineering, QA, or ML/data testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, and SQL; exposure to Scala is a plus.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and data validation.
  • Solid understanding of ML model lifecycle and deployment methods (PMML, JAR, containers).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools and resource optimization.
  • Strong background in data handling (ETL, large datasets).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Knowledge of Actimize solutions and experience in Fraud/AML/Finance domain.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud-based SaaS delivery models.
  • Exposure to distributed environments and test automation at scale.
