Job Description

This role requires a Senior Automation Engineer to develop and maintain Appium iOS Automation Frameworks, specifically focusing on physical iOS devices, with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include performing test automation across mobile, web, and desktop platforms, managing test environments, creating bug reports, and building test scenarios. The role also involves technical communication, deployment issue resolution, ensuring unit test coverage, and evaluating product scalability using tools like JMeter/BlazeMeter, alongside familiarity with CI/CD and version control systems.
Must have:
  • Develop Appium iOS Automation Frameworks and set up Appium on Mac as an individual contributor with no supervision.
  • Perform Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms like Mobile, Web and Desktop.
  • Build, deploy and manage own environment (customizing when required).
  • Create & manage bug reports and communicate with the team.
  • Build different test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Handle technical communications with Partnering team to understand their systems or APIs.
  • Work with deployments teams and resolving any level issues for the system.
  • Set up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks.
  • Participate in design and architectural discussion.
  • Ensure extensive unit test code coverage.
  • Develop quality automation code and maintaining the same.
  • Evaluate product scalability (JMeter/BlazeMeter).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools and version control systems like Git/Bitbucket.

  • Able to build different test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Should be able to handle technical communications with Partnering team to understand their systems or APIs.
  • To work with deployments teams and resolving any level issues for the system.
  • Should also be able to set up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Automation Engineer (Mobile)
  • 1 to 2 years of practical experience in Appium Setup on Mac OS
  • 1 to 2 years of practical experience in building Mobile Automation Frameworks on Mac
  • 1 to 2 years of practical experience in iOS Appium automation using Physical iOS devices (Not emulators, simulators or cloud devices)
  • Experience in developing Appium iOS Automation Frameworks and setting up Appium on Mac as an individual contributor with no supervision
