Senior C# Programmer

Robot Cache is looking for a dynamic, well-versed C# programmer to bring our platform vision to life. 

ROLE: C# Programmer, Robot Cache  

MENTOR: Chief Technology Officer 

YOUR DAY: Your primary responsibility will be working as a key member of the programming team to engineer our commerce systems, databases, and infrastructure to enable gamers to buy and resell games. You’ll coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

• Design and build maintainable code for both web frontend clients and .net backend services 
• Mentoring other junior developers on best practices, building maintainable systems, architecture topics, and career progression 
• Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs while devising solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and testing
• Assist in providing time estimates of assigned tasks
• Recommends possible improvements in software and processes
• Demonstrates understanding of departmental procedures, programming standards, and develops protocol and processes as the company matures

YOUR SPECIAL SAUCE:

• Build trust through consistent execution and great communication
• Work with others in the team to solve both development and platform problems 
• Commutating with others with varying levels of technical knowledge 
• Experience working for eCommerce companies is a plus

YOUR HARD SKILLS:

• At least 5+ years of relevant, full-stack software development experience
• Excellent programming skills using C#, .NET (.net core preferred), and JavaScript / CSS 
• Excellent understating and experience with relational databases, SQL syntax, and performance optimization. Experience with Postgresql is a huge bonus! 
• Experience with Integration and Unit testing (MSTest a plus)
• Fluidity in common software engineering practices, e.g. source control, agile methodologies, etc
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar
• BONUS: Experience with Redis, ElasticSearch, and/or RabbitMQ
