Job Description

AlphaDesk is LSEG’s Order and Portfolio Management Software. This role involves coordinating all aspects of AlphaDesk counterparty integrations, including configuration, certification, support, and maintenance of connections with third-party vendors. Key tasks include developing trade reports in C# & SQL, managing file transfer encryption protocols, and constructing ETL using in-house tools and Regex. The specialist will partner with implementation and development teams, resolve complex integration issues, and contribute to industry-leading support.
Must have:
  • Connect and configure technical integrations between AlphaDesk software and custodians, administrators, and vendors globally
  • Partner with implementation team to complete integrations for new clients launching on AlphaDesk
  • Respond to and handle ad hoc changes to client connections due to client business changes
  • Become a domain expert in relevant technologies – trade report coding in C# & SQL, FTP transfer protocols, encryption, certificate management, and ETL construction using in house tools and Regex
  • Resolve issues from client services for sophisticated integrations issues in production
  • Partner with development team to expand AlphaDesk capabilities
  • Contribute to our industry leading support as part of our distributed team
  • An undergraduate degree, preferably with a major in computer science, information technology, engineering, science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working directly with internal/external clients
Good to have:
  • Solid understanding of SQL and C#
  • Familiarity with file transfer and encryption protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent teammate with a consultative approach to problem solving
  • Willingness to learning emerging technologies and new software
  • Good time management skills, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints

Role Description:

AlphaDesk is LSEG’s Order and Portfolio Management Software. AlphaDesk develops and supports the software for hedge funds and asset managers globally. We are a complementary team with good technical skills, and the quality of our software and client services is at the core of our business.

Our clients use AlphaDesk to handle their trading, monitoring, and reporting of their investments. Clients value our ability to integrate with their custodians and third parties for trade reporting and reconciliation globally. We are responsive and efficient in delivering integrations and it is one of the strengths of our overall offering. Our integrations team is responsible for our continued success in this area.

We are seeking a capable, motivated, and responsible individual who grows with challenges to be part of our team. In this role you will be part of a team coordinating all aspects of AlphaDesk counterparty integrations which include configuration, certification, support, and maintenance of our connections with third party vendors. The technical aspects of this job include, but are not limited to, development of trade reports in C# & SQL, file transfer encryption protocols, and ETL construction using in house tools and Regex.

Key Responsibilities:

Connect and configure technical integrations between AlphaDesk software and custodians, administrators, and vendors globally

Partner with implementation team to complete integrations for new clients launching on AlphaDesk

Respond to and handle ad hoc changes to client connections due to client business changes

Become a domain expert in relevant technologies – trade report coding in C# and MySQL, FTP transfer protocols, encryption, certificate management, and ETL capabilities with regex

Resolve issues from client services for sophisticated integrations issues in production

Partner with development team to expand AlphaDesk capabilities – eg new ETL processes, reporting and reconciliation capabilities

Contribute to our industry leading support as part of our distributed team

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

An undergraduate degree, preferably with a major in computer science, information technology, engineering, science, or equivalent experience

Experience working directly with internal/external clients

Solid understanding of SQL and C# is an asset

Familiarity with file transfer and encryption protocols is a plus

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Excellent teammate with a consultative approach to problem solving

Willingness to learning emerging technologies and new software

Good time management skills, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints
