The Senior Clinical Content Consultant - Pharmacist, specializes in oncology, developing and maintaining detailed clinical content for proprietary databases. This role involves evaluating scientific literature, applying advanced clinical knowledge, and synthesizing evidence to integrate new information into clinical decision support systems. Responsibilities include assessing drug therapy risks, creating high-quality drug information, and participating in the creation of rules and value sets. The consultant ensures consistency with other Wolters Kluwer Health Products and contributes to the maintenance of standard terminologies.
Must have:
  • Create content in antineoplastic pharmacology and therapeutics, analyzing evidence and collaborating with experts.
  • Manage oncology compendia according to process and policy.
  • Conduct peer review of content development.
  • Maintain external expert consultant relationships for content qualification and opinion.
  • Coordinate surveillance of drug and therapeutic developments for database updates.
  • Participate in content reconciliation and database maintenance projects.
  • Edit created content for publication within the oncology pharmacotherapy team.

About the Role:

The Senior Clinical Content Consultant - Pharmacist, participates in the development and maintenance of detailed and specialized clinical content to support proprietary domestic and international databases. While ensuring consistency with information curated by other Wolters Kluwer Health Products, applies advanced clinical experience and knowledge of statistics, and research principles when evaluating and interpreting scientific literature and other evidence. Couples clinical experience with synthesis of evidence to determine appropriate, meaningful inclusion of new information in referential or data-driven clinical decision support databases. Assesses and mitigates risks of drug therapy and clinical decision support based on knowledge of pharmacotherapy as well as disease/condition and patient-specific variables. Responsible for creating and revising high quality drug information (referential/embedded) consistent with the format and structure of the databases as well as expected behavior of the data when coupled with software logic in Wolters Kluwer Health products. This includes participation in creation of rules and value sets as well as maintenance of and mapping to standard terminologies to support our expert solutions.

*This role is Hybrid in an office 2 days a week*

Responsibilities:

  • Creates content in the area of antineoplastic pharmacology and therapeutics, requiring analysis and synthesis of evidence, including peer-reviewed literature, treatment guidelines, product labeling, and clinical practice experience including collaboration with expert clinical consultants in the field.
  • Manages oncology compendia in accordance with oncology compendia process and policy.
  • Conducts peer review of content development (e.g., professional drug monographs, projects).
  • Maintains external expert consultant relationships to facilitate qualification and synthesis of content and provide expert opinion.
  • Collaboratively coordinates surveillance of drugs and therapeutic developments within drug treatments for oncologic disorders for the core pharmacology database updates.
  • Participates in reconciliation of content across referential databases and other database maintenance projects.
  • Works on a specialty team (i.e., oncology pharmacotherapy team) to edit created content for publication.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications

  • Pharmacy License in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite

What You'll Need:

Education:

Pharm.D. with oncology expertise or relevant equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of clinical practice experience in oncology
  • A clinical residency in oncology or equivalent clinical experience
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy
  • Contributes expert and has broad knowledge across field of specialization serving as a senior advisor to management
  • Anticipates business and industry issues and recommends to the development of departmental or area strategy
  • Solves unique problems that have a broad impact on the business
  • Recognized as an internal expert on improvements to products, processes or services
  • Leads project or initiatives across departments or areas with notable risk and complexity
  • Impacts the direction and resource allocation for projects across departments or areas
  • Communicates complex ideas (internally and externally) and persuades senior level to adopt a different point of view
  • Progression to this level is typically based on business requirements

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $199,300 - $282,100
