Job Description

The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer at Google's gTech team works on globally applicable projects, collaborating with regional and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include proactively identifying and building solutions and best practices for global use by Google Customer Solutions (GCS) customers. This role leverages engineering skills to design and scale complex, cross-product solutions for thousands of customers, collecting requirements and providing guidance. It also involves experimenting with new technologies to develop solutions beyond existing Google products. The ideal candidate possesses strong client-side web technologies, coding, troubleshooting and partner management experience.

Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years experience with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • 6+ years coding experience (Java, C/C++, Python)
  • Technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management
  • Develop and scale solutions for global customers
  • Collect requirements and provide innovative solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in an investigative role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience using machine learning and building solutions.
  • Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with regional teams on globally applicable projects and initiatives. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside solutions architects to accelerate the identification and development of solutions globally.
  • Be responsible for proactively identifying and building a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be used by Google Customer Solutions (GCS) customers globally.
  • Leverage engineering skills to design and scale complex, cross-product customized solutions to be rolled out to thousands of customers globally.
  • Collect requirements, provide guidance, best practices and innovative solutions to apply ad products and technologies and drive customer and business goals.
  • Experiment with new technologies to develop solutions where existing Google products cannot help.
