Job Description

A Senior Customs Analyst ensures compliance with U.S. federal regulations by maintaining expertise in customs programs such as HTS classification, Duty Drawback, ISA, and CTPAT, while conducting internal audits and broker reviews. Identifies trade and customs risks across the Americas Region and implements corrective actions through regulatory, financial, and operational audits of imported vehicles, parts, and equipment.
Must have:
  • Applies regulatory expertise in Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and Duty Drawback to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Plans, conducts, and manages internal audits on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, analyzing data and procedures to identify compliance gaps.
  • Presents audit findings to management, discusses conclusions, and recommends corrective actions to strengthen internal controls and mitigate penalties.
  • Drafts and maintains written procedures supporting internal controls, and oversees responses to federal notices related to customs and commerce issues.
  • Supports cross-functional teams on import-related projects and ensures compliance with recordkeeping requirements for CBP, DOC, CTPAT, and Foreign-Trade Zone programs.
  • Five (5) or more years of related experience at a professional level.
  • US Customs Brokers License required.
  • Thorough knowledge of HTSUS, Duty Drawback, audit procedures, including statistical sampling, workpaper preparation and review techniques.
  • Thorough computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, SAP, and other PC applications or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems.
Good to have:
  • Prefer either automotive-related or direct customs audit experience. Both are an advantage.
  • Foreign-Trade Zone experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control systems a plus.

We are currently looking for a Senior Customs Analyst to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee.

A Day in the Life:

Who We’re Looking for:

  • Five (5) or more years of related experience at a professional level. Prefer either automotive-related or direct customs audit experience. Both are an advantage. Foreign-Trade Zone experience is a plus.
  • US Customs Brokers License required.
