Job Description

We are seeking a Mid-Weight Product Designer to join the Global Platform Design Team at a leading fintech company in the UK. This role involves shaping tools to simplify accountants' work and improve financial experiences globally. You will integrate new features into product platforms, collaborating with product managers, engineers, other designers, and user researchers to deliver user-centred solutions. The ideal candidate has strong visual and interaction design skills, can manage complex workflows, thrives in global collaboration, and balances design craft with pragmatism, contributing to a cohesive, user-friendly experience across multiple systems.
Must have:
  • Lead design for new features and workflows across S.T.E.P MyAccount, Support Portals, Sitecore, and AVA.
  • Ensure consistent, cohesive design across platforms by applying and extending our design system.
  • Collaborate with the Global Platform Design Team, product managers, engineers, and user researchers to deliver user-centred solutions.
  • Conduct usability testing, analyse findings, and incorporate insights into design iterations.
  • Optimise responsive experiences across web and mobile.
  • Produce polished prototypes, specifications, and documentation for smooth developer handover.
  • Support the organisation’s digital transformation efforts, helping consolidate systems into a more unified client experience.
  • Strong proficiency with design/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe, InVision).
  • Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, ideally across complex platforms or enterprise systems.
  • Strong self-organisation and attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating in agile software teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage global stakeholders and explain design decisions.
  • 5 years’ experience in a UI/UX role (or 7+ years in another digital role with transferable skills).
Good to have:
  • Experience designing within Salesforce, Sitecore, or custom-built enterprise platforms.
  • Ai Prompt Engineering
  • F.E. coding experience
  • Experience evolving or extending design systems.
  • Strong visual/motion design or microcopy skills.
  • Background in technology, HCI, or fintech.
  • Interest in designing for global scale and regulatory complexity.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Mid-Weight Product Designer to join the Global Platform Design Team at a leading fintech company. Based in the UK and reporting to the Head of Global Platform Design, you’ll play a central role in shaping tools that simplify the work of accountants—and by extension, improve financial experiences for millions of people worldwide.

Your role will be to seamlessly incorporate new features and innovations into our various product platforms. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, other designers, and user researchers to ensure our solutions not only meet but exceed customer needs. With a strong focus on user-centred design, you’ll help integrate our design ethos into a cohesive, user-friendly experience across multiple systems.

You’ll contribute to design efforts across a diverse ecosystem of platforms, including:

  • MyAccount
  • Support Portals
  • Documentation Management Systems
  • AVA

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive, and will evolve as we continue our consolidation and digital transformation journey.

This role is perfect for someone who

Has strong visual and interaction design skills, and can untangle complex workflows across multiple enterprise and custom platforms. Thrives in global, cross-functional collaboration. Balances design craft with pragmatism, moving confidently from concept to delivery. Brings a structured approach to design documentation, iterations, and system consistency.

Key Responsibilities
