Job Description

We are looking for a senior designer at the intersection of brand and digital commerce. This role is ideal for a well-rounded designer with a passion for design in all its forms, from brand to packaging to digital. The successful candidate will think big picture while crafting creative solutions for e-commerce and beyond, delivering best-in-class content for online storefronts. Responsibilities include developing design solutions, shaping compelling presentations, participating in brainstorming, mentoring junior team members, and upholding creative integrity by staying updated on eComm best practices, including ADA compliance.
Must have:
  • Deliver best in class content (brand and product visuals and communication), on eComm product pages or online storefronts (DTC or retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.)
  • Be a master in your craft – working independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Develop design solutions, with a focus on digital content channels and eComm
  • Shape and craft compelling presentation narratives to support and sell through creative concepts
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and internal reviews
  • Play an active role in supporting both your immediate colleagues and those across the agency, and mentor junior team members
  • Uphold creative integrity and ingenuity by keeping up to date with the latest best practices in eComm, including ADA compliance
  • Take personal responsibility and guardianship for your projects – ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality work
  • Present your work with the confidence that comes from knowing that you have done all that you can
  • Support culture-building initiatives which serve to unite and inspire the entire agency to care passionately about one another, our clients and our work
Good to have:

  • Experience with a range of categories including CPG, food/ beverage/wine/spirits, and technology preferred
  • Knowledge of simple animation/motion techniques a plus
  • experience in front-end development for eComm a plus
  • Solid understanding of Mac OS
  • collaborative tools (XD, Miro) and Keynote a plus
  • Has experience in leading projects
  • A strategic problem solver with experience in Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Ideally experience in food/drink categories
  • Insightful thinker with the ability to dig into a problem and sees beyond the ask
  • Thrive in the demands of pressing deadlines and confidently manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator who can confidently convey rationale behind design solutions
  • Understands consumer purchase behavior and can think in design systems
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves and do’ mindset

  • 6+ years experience in the industry; some agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or other related field
  • Experience with a range of categories including CPG, food/ beverage/wine/spirits, and technology preferred
  • Knowledge of simple animation/motion techniques a plus
  • Well-rounded portfolio showcasing excellent understanding of brand building — experience in front-end development for eComm a plus
  • Solid understanding of Mac OS, Adobe CS (Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); collaborative tools (XD, Miro) and Keynote a plus

The Ontario pay range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and other job-related factors.
