Job Description

Role Summary:

Designs, builds, implements, and maintains highly scalable, resilient, and observable cloud-native systems and applications. Focuses on automation, infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, and operational excellence within public or private cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native architectures (e.g., microservices, serverless functions, container orchestration like Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure repeatable and consistent deployments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software deployment.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic) to ensure system health and performance.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices are integrated into cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at the infrastructure and system level.
• Automation: Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, security, and product teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed cloud systems.

Basic Requirements

• Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• IaC Tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in languages like Python, Go, Bash, Ruby.
• Operating Systems: Linux system administration.
• Networking: Understanding of cloud networking, VPNs, load balancing.
• Databases: Familiarity with various database types (SQL, NoSQL) in a cloud context.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems.
