OLG is seeking a passionate Senior Digital Business Analyst to support the UAT team, Product Owners, and labs. This role involves questioning assumptions, assessing UAT needs, identifying gaps, and collaborating with subject matter experts. The analyst will gather and analyze artifacts to ensure releases align with Gaming Division's strategic goals, and support release roll-out plans and post-implementation success measurements. The position requires strong analytical skills and experience in Agile environments.
Must have:
  • Facilitate stakeholder analysis and UAT scope sessions.
  • Elicit and maintain functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage UAT work in systems like Test Rail and JIRA.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Tests and manage defects.
  • Support defining business goals, outcomes, and KPIs.
  • Participate in business process improvement.
  • Support solution implementation and knowledge transfer.
  • Promote Agile Risk Based User Acceptance Testing.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business and system analysis methods.
Good to have:

Senior Digital Business Analyst

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Digital Business Analyst to be a versatile team member that supports the UAT team and enables Product Owner and labs by supporting development of strategies and acting as a change agent for development of solutions and the application of technology. The successful Sr Business Analyst questions assumptions and requirements, assesses and conducts User Acceptance Testing needs, finds gaps, and works closely with subject matter experts. The role gathers and analyzes artefacts to help the UAT and Release Train team to deliver release and initiatives in alignment with the Gaming Division’s strategic goals. The role also supports the release roll-out plan and post-implementation success measurements (i.e., KPIs) to inform future releases..

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Digital Release Train & UAT , you will be empowered to:

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with business, facilitating stakeholder analysis and UAT scope sessions with key business and technology stakeholders to drive the business needs, workflows, bespoke system functionality and regression testing scope to guide the UAT activities.
  • Elicit, develop and maintain business and systems analysis of functional and non-functional requirements artifacts required through the full lifecycle of a release from inception through ongoing support.
  • Facilitate breakdown of UAT work in the system of work (e.g., Test Rail, JIRA)
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure acceptance and regression test criteria is understood and that web test scenarios are built accordingly,
  • Develops and Execute User Acceptance; updates test plans; sets up test data reports defects, providing proposed priority, participating in root cause identification and proposes resolutions to expected results.
  • Assist in the development of User Acceptance Test plans, test cases and Test Completion Reports.
  • Support the Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners and labs in developing business goals, outcomes, capturing and analyzing acceptance criteria, defining KPIs and other metrics to track business and technical outcomes to manage the health of the systems.
  • Participate in the development of business processes and collaborate with partners within the division on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective enablement of lab initiatives and solutions.
  • Support the implementation of solutions into production and work with stakeholders to enable the roll-out plan and conduct knowledge transfer for ongoing operations.
  • Maintains domain and industry expertise, promoting Agile Risk Based User Acceptance Testing in the releases as well as incorporating business goals to streamline UAT, understanding the customer journey, and translating into clear test suites to ensure consistency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

  • Work Experience: Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role in a medium-sized organization | Previous business analyst/system analyst experience with digital teams preferred. | Experience in test planning, execution, and defect resolution. | Prior experience with Agile system of work and defect tracking system (example: Business Map. TestRail and JIRA).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic training in business and system analysis methods and processes. | Competent in conducting various types of independent analysis including skills in data collection, cleaning, and analysis and the ability to extract/ present insights and findings. | Knowledge of relevant aspects of a Digital business and technology components to support requirements gathering/business casing. | Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology and tools is an asset.
  • Critical Skills: Validation of solution fit for business (e.g., user acceptance testing, defect & issue reporting) | Demonstrated ability to perform business and system analysis tasks such as functional and non-functional requirement elicitation (e.g., business process modelling, process decomposition, stakeholder analysis, prototyping, story writing and story mapping, acceptance criteria
  • Negotiation and Influence: ability to negotiate and influence effectively while being open to perspectives and maintaining strong relationships
  • Strategic Thinker: strong strategic and critical thinker with ability to delve into unique challenges and find creative solutions
