The Senior Director of Core Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the Core Engineering team, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our AWS infrastructure. This role requires an expert understanding of AWS, DevOps, and software development, with a minimum of 7 years of AWS experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading engineering teams and driving technological excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Core Engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our AWS infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our AWS ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices, automation, and software development processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices.
• Develop and implement strategies for cost optimization and resource management within the
• AWS environment.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

• A related technical degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with AWS, including hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $251,900 to $384,100.
