As the Senior Director, Information Technology, you will set and execute the IT strategy while managing the systems and infrastructure that support our employees and business operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a scalable IT foundation and ensuring security, efficiency, and a seamless technology experience for our team. This role will be the go-to person for all Corporate IT functions, working closely with Engineering, Legal, People Ops, and other key stakeholders to maintain a secure and productive IT environment.
- Technology Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports business priorities, scalability, and innovation—partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and reliable IT systems and networks. Ensure high availability, business continuity, and operational resilience across all locations and environments.
- Security Implementation & Training: Develop and enforce security protocols (including security training), ensuring the integrity of sensitive company data. Maintain awareness of compliance requirements (PCI, etc) and lead relevant audits/initiatives.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Lead the ongoing enhancement of cybersecurity strategy, including threat detection, incident response, employee awareness, and compliance readiness. Serve as a key liaison with internal audit and risk functions.
- IT Service Delivery & Operational Excellence: Establish and monitor performance metrics, service-level agreements, and internal stakeholder satisfaction benchmarks to ensure consistent, high-quality IT support and service delivery.
- Vendor & Technology Portfolio Management: Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and technology portfolio optimization. Conduct due diligence to ensure partners meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
- AI & Digital Enablement: Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience across the organization.
- End-User Experience: Champion a modern, user-centric IT environment by improving support services, training programs, and digital tools that enhance employee productivity and engagement.
- Governance Documentation & Compliance: Maintain robust governance over IT operations through documentation, standardized procedures, data protection, and audit readiness.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a regionally dispersed IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. Build organizational capabilities to meet evolving technology and security needs.
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: At least 10+ years of IT leadership and 5+ years in senior management overseeing enterprise technology functions in startup environments
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, or security-related) are advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, MDM solutions (e.g., JAMF), user provisioning (Okta), Google Workspace, and security best practices is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration within the team.

$226,800 - $283,500 USD
