Autodesk is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead product management strategy for the company-wide agentic AI initiative and ML platform within the Analytics Data leadership team. This role requires a strong background in agentic AI and ML lifecycle, a passion for driving outcomes, and the ability to work across global teams. The Senior Director will align and standardize AI product management, ensuring continuous improvement and collaborative relationships with engineering. Key responsibilities include overseeing a team of Product Managers, developing AI product strategies, owning the strategic roadmap, and championing a metrics-driven culture. The role involves significant stakeholder engagement and travel up to 10%.
Must have:

  • Represent and own an aligned Analytics Data AI portfolio and strategic roadmap.
  • Communicate the vision and roadmap with varying levels of leadership and obtain endorsement.
  • Establish frameworks based on ruthless prioritization and connecting roadmaps to strategy.
  • Translate market, data and AI technology trends into actionable and innovative roadmap initiatives.
  • Champion a metrics-driven product management culture.
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships to drive continuous alignment on execution against strategy.

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Senior Director of Product Management within the Analytics Data leadership team. This person will drive product management strategy and alignment for our company-wide agentic AI initiative and our ML platform. A successful candidate has a strong agentic AI and ML lifecycle background, a passion for driving outcomes, the ability to work across global teams to solve highly complex business problems through technology and innovation and thrives in an employee first, customer centric culture. This role will align and standardize AI product management across Analytics Data in service of Autodesk’s strategic priorities and objectives to modernize and transform how we harness the power of modern AI. In this role you lead product managers to success by connecting business objectives, platform strategy and results. You will ensure continuous improvement and a collaborative relationship with engineering across Analytics Data product management. You will establish trusted and communicative relationships with stakeholders across Autodesk and instill a culture of platform thinking and mapping outputs to outcomes. A successful candidate will not only possess the technical expertise to drive a compelling AI strategy but will also possess the business acumen and gravitas to inspire people to bring that vision to life.

As this role oversees a global organization, you will work across multiple time zones and will travel up to 10% of the time for in-person meetings such as conferences, team offsites, and customer visits. This position has a preference to be hybrid to our San Francisco office or pacific time zone is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of Product Managers that span across domains, skill levels and locations
  • Provide thought leadership and develop machine learning and agentic AI product strategies in partnership with other Analytics Data leaders while emphasizing a platform mentality
  • Represent and own an aligned Analytics Data AI portfolio and strategic roadmap
  • Communicate the vision and roadmap with varying levels of leadership and obtain endorsement and sponsorship
  • Establish frameworks based on ruthless prioritization and connecting roadmaps to strategy across the organization
  • Translate market, data and AI technology trends, competitive intelligence and cross-functional input into actionable and innovative roadmap initiatives that improve AI capabilities
  • Champion a metrics-driven product management culture
  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships across Autodesk to drive continuous alignment on execution against strategy

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of product management experience, including AI product management, and extensive experience leading distributed teams in a cross functional environment
  • Technically savvy with Agentic AI, API-first cultures, Cloud infrastructure and Machine learning workflows
  • Experience growing organizations and standardizing product management across domains
  • Proven track record of delivering complex solutions at scale
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must have, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, communication, and influencing skills
  • Experience defining organization-wide product management strategy, vision and roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline
  • Experience working with AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Sagemaker, Multi-agentic orchestration workflows, API ecosystems, Model development, Conversational AI with Language models, and other best of breed AI/ML offerings
