Job Summary
The Senior Engineer Applications Support Engineering role involves operations, application support, and development across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments (AWS, Linux, Windows). The ideal candidate will support an existing MFT application support team, bringing development and SRE experience to implement automation, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors. Responsibilities include 2nd line support for Managed File Transfer and Workload Scheduling, incident management, on-call rotation, monitoring, change request implementation, and DevOps support.
Must Have
- Provide 2nd line application support for Managed File Transfer and Workload Scheduling (BMC Control-M)
- Own and drive incidents and problems to completion, including log analysis and vendor engagement
- Participate in weekly 24x7 on-call rotation
- Manage and monitor tooling and server performance and productivity
- Support implementation of change requests related to services and applications
- Install Linux and Windows operating system patches on a quarterly cycle
- Participate in DR exercises involving services and applications
- Provide DevOps support in an operational role
- 5 or more years of Application Support Experience
- Logic based automations using APIs, MS Flows, Workflows, and RPA’s

Job Description
Control-M & Managed File Transfer Application Support Engineer:
The ideal candidate for this role will have operations, application support, and development experience across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments consisting of AWS, Linux, and Windows. The role will support an existing MFT application support team and bring development and SRE experience to help implement automation to improve efficiency and productivity across our services and applications while also decreasing manual error prone processes.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line of application support across Managed File Transfer, Workload Scheduling (BMC Control-M). Expert in at least 1, preferred if you have expertise and experience in both
- Own and drive incidents and problems to completion for our services and applications, including log analysis, engagement of vendor support, and team representation during major incident calls.
- Participate in weekly on call rotation to provide 24x7 support.
- Manage and monitor our tooling and servers performance and productivity.
- Support implementation of change requests related to our services and applications.
- Installation of Linux and Windows operating system patches on a quarterly cycle.
- Participate in DR exercises involving our services and applications.
- Provided DevOps support in an operational role.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of Application Support Experience.
- Logic based automations using APIs, MS Flows, Workflows, and RPA’s.
- Stay up to date with industry trends.
- ITILv4 foundation certification (preferred)

- Managed File Transfer: GoAnywhere, GlobalScape, Axway ( any one preferred GoAnywhere)
- Schedulers - BMC Control-M.
- Alert Aggregation Tools - BigPanda
- Scripting Languages - Python, PowerShell, Bash, Windows Batch, Ansible, Terraform
Nice to have:
- Cloud Based Monitoring / Capacity Management – DataDog
