We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Time Mobile team, impacting how businesses globally manage their workforce. You will be a technical leader, building and owning highly available, reliable, and scalable systems, responsible for the entire software lifecycle. This role involves architectural design, operational excellence, and technical mentorship, shaping the future of a rapidly growing product suite and solving complex challenges.
Must have:
  • Lead the Time Mobile product spanning Mobile App, Kiosk App, and Hardware Timeclock.
  • Integrate multiple platform capabilities into a unified product experience.
  • Act as the frontend connective tissue across platform domains.
  • Champion consistent and scalable UI patterns.
  • Reduce redundancy by promoting shared best practices and reusable frontend code.
  • Partner with product managers and designers to quickly prototype and validate user journeys.
  • Accelerate time-to-market with a tight build-measure-learn loop.
  • Own the frontend codebase and architecture for Time Mobile.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, localization, and performance.
  • Maintain high-quality engineering practices, including robust testing, monitoring, and error tracking.
  • Operate as a flexible, high-context team collaborating fluidly with different platform teams.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to gather customer feedback.
  • Refine the product roadmap.
  • Set a strong bar for frontend user experience and engineering quality.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in software development and delivery.
  • At least 4+ years of experience as an EM or SEM in leading development teams.
  • Strong frontend engineering background, ideally full-stack capable.
  • Proven experience in scalable product UI development.
  • Open to running project-focused rather than charter-focused teams.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Time Mobile team. You’ll help businesses around the world manage their workforce. The products we create have a massive impact on how our customers operate at a global scale. You’ll be leading the way for Time and the company in terms of creating amazing mobile product experiences across multiple surfaces and platforms.

You’ll be a technical leader in the org, building and owning highly available, reliable, and scalable systems and responsible for the entire lifecycle of critical software. Your role encompasses architectural design, operational excellence, and technical mentorship for engineers on a fast-moving team with tremendous impact.

What You and Your Team Will Do:

End-to-End Ownership of Time Mobile

Lead the Time Mobile product which spans the Mobile App, Kiosk App, and Hardware Timeclock. You’ll be integrating with multiple platform capabilities into a unified product experience.

Horizontal Alignment Across Platform Product Teams

  • Act as the “frontend connective tissue” across platform domains
  • Champion consistent and scalable UI patterns in collaboration with other product teams.
  • Reduce redundancy by promoting shared best practices and reusable frontend code.

Rapid Prototyping and Iterative Delivery

  • Partner with product managers and designers to quickly prototype and validate user journeys.
  • Accelerate time-to-market with a tight build-measure-learn loop.

System Ownership and Quality

  • Own the frontend codebase and architecture for Time Mobile.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, localization, and performance are first-class concerns.
  • Maintain high-quality engineering practices, including robust testing, monitoring, and error tracking.

Fungibility and Collaboration

  • Operate as a flexible, high-context team that can collaborate fluidly with different platform teams as needed.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to gather customer feedback and refine the product roadmap.
  • Set a strong bar for frontend user experience and engineering quality across Enterprise Studio.

What you will need

  • At least 10+ years of experience in software development and delivery, with in-depth knowledge of frontend software architectures; must have at least 4+ years of experience as an EM or SEM in leading development teams
  • Technical Depth: Strong frontend engineering background, ideally full-stack capable, with proven experience in scalable product UI development
  • Mode of Operation: Open to running project focussed rather than charter focussed teams. Success for the manager is making product teams successful
  • Strong track record of hiring and growing high-performing engineering teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and aligning diverse stakeholders
  • Passion for building great user experiences at scale
