The Senior Financial Analyst at AGS plays a critical role in strategic planning and decision-making. Must have:
  • Lead financial planning and analysis initiatives including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance scorecards.
  • Direct preparation of recurring and ad hoc management reports.
  • Conduct scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and profitability reviews.
  • Partner with accounting during month-end close to validate financial results.
  • Lead departmental financial reviews including expense tracking and headcount analysis.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Drive consistency and efficiency in financial reporting and data visualization.
  • Promote strong financial discipline across the organization.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows.
  • Document and follow relevant internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Assist departments to adhere to internal controls.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in management reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel functions and abilities.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting software.

Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in AGS’s strategic planning and decision-making processes. This position is responsible for delivering insightful analysis, driving financial performance, and partnering cross-functionally with business leaders to guide key initiatives. This role leads complex financial modeling efforts, contributes to the development of business strategies, and supports the company’s long-term financial goals.

The Senior Analyst is also responsible for participating in elements of the monthly close process, ensuring integrity and accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting compliance with internal controls. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact financial planning and analysis (FP&A) initiatives, including enterprise-wide forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business case development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational and executive stakeholders by translating financial data into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance scorecards that inform strategic decisions and monitor KPIs.
  • Direct the preparation and continuous improvement of recurring and ad hoc management reports for key business lines and senior leadership.
  • Conduct scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and profitability reviews to assess investment opportunities and support capital planning.
  • Partner with accounting during month-end close to validate financial results and ensure accuracy of key financial metrics and accruals.
  • Lead the preparation of departmental financial reviews, including detailed expense tracking, margin performance, and headcount analysis.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and internal resource on financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., ERP, consolidation systems, BI tools).
  • Drive consistency and efficiency in financial reporting and data visualization, maintaining reporting standards across functions.
  • Promote strong financial discipline across the organization through education, influence, and collaboration.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy and accessibility.

Internal Controls

  • Document and follow relevant internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Directly assist subsidiaries and other departments to document and adhere to relevant internal controls over financial reporting for their respective functions.

Skills and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in management reporting and analysis
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Demonstrable track record of working with and servicing internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles
  • MS office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of excel functions and abilities. Experience with SAP
  • Experience with enterprise reporting software
