Job Summary

As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Inkitt, you will help architect, build, iterate, and manage their global mobile applications (Inkitt, Galatea, and GalateaTV). Responsibilities include building and shipping new features, collaborating with product managers and designers, contributing to the product roadmap, driving architecture and technology choices, exploring new technologies to enhance user experience, and staying close to users to gather feedback. The role requires experience with React Native, JavaScript, React, React.js, mobile UI/UX design, and understanding mobile and web app release processes. Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, leveraging AI and predictive algorithms to discover unknown stories and turn them into blockbuster hits.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Help architect, build, iterate, and manage our global mobile application, Inkitt, Galatea and our new app, GalateaTV! (you can find it in the App Store / Google Play)
Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality
Work closely with our Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals
Contribute your ideas to the product's roadmap
Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience
Continuously explore new technologies that will elevate the user experience of customers in order to be at the forefront of a rapidly changing digital environment
Stay close with our users, to understand why they are using the product, collect feedback and apply it in your work

What You'll Bring:

CS Degree or in a related field
5+ years of experience working within large, well-maintained codebases
Experience using React Native
Experience with JavaScript, React, React.js, Mobile UI/UX design
Experience working with mobile and web apps as well as understanding a release process in App Store/Google Play is a plus
