Your job As a Senior Game Designer, you’ll spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of game designs across a range of projects, collaborating closely with developers, artists, and fellow designers. Your responsibilities Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to conceptualize game designs that align with project goals and client requirements. Translating project objectives into comprehensive design pillars, game mechanics, and engaging dynamics tailored to target audiences. Crafting effective game loops that captivate players and contribute to project objectives. Implementing and testing designs to deliver compelling gameplay experiences. Contributing to all aspects of game development, integrating technical, artistic, and design considerations. Communicating with clients to gather and document game design requirements in formal documentation. Formulating and refining the company’s design vision and philosophy as part of the design team. What you have in store Minimum 5 years of professional experience in game design. Extensive experience with game engines like Unity and a solid grasp of technical and artistic feasibility in design choices. Knowledge of and experience with UX design, Material Design and narrative theory. Proficiency in designing engaging gameplay mechanics and dynamics, informed by an understanding of engagement, motivation, and drive. Passion for ludology across various forms, from tabletop RPGs to arcade games, and ability to draw inspiration from diverse sources. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients. Willingness to learn and adapt, coupled with a self-directed work ethic and a user-centric mindset. You can create game functionality in Unity with tools like NodeCanvas/FlowCanvas or similar visual scripting software. Experience designing for PC/Mac, web and mobile platforms and understanding their different requirements.
