Wargaming is seeking a Senior Game Designer to join the World of Tanks Blitz team. You will be part of a cross-disciplinary feature team that primarily works on meta-game features, focusing on cosmetics and event systems. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 technology and proprietary tools, feature teams in World of Tanks Blitz follow agile, linear frameworks that prioritize delivering shippable features in the shortest iterations possible, enhancing the overall player experience at a rapid pace.
Project manager
Your primary responsibility will be to design systems, define feature scope, establish requirements, and identify dependencies across other systems
Using Unreal Engine 5 and our in-house tools, you will collaborate with other feature team members to deliver your features in the game
Working with meta-features. Focus here may differ depending on the current team’s priorities and backlog
Use analytics, user research, and team insights to deeply understand player behavior and make informed design decisions
Proven experience with Unreal Engine (creating initial implementations for animated 3D scenes, UI screens, custom automation, or feature templates)
Proficiency in Excel or any commercial spreadsheet software
Experience with Python or any scripting language commonly used for automation or data analysis
Familiarity with Git and version control systems
Experience in shipping features utilizing Behavior Trees or StateTree models
Ability to design meta-game systems such as quests, events, cosmetics, and achievements, including the following artifacts:
a. User and system interactions represented as wireframes or mockups in any form
b. Clear and concise design documentation covering major use cases, edge cases, and system dependencies
c. System architecture, including configuration files and toolsets to optimize usability and facilitate content production or reuse
Proactive: Regularly reviews and improves existing systems
Champion: Drives system and feature implementation in alignment with the studio’s agile process
Team player: Works collaboratively with other developers to integrate features into the game
Since the team is based in Nicosia and Vilnius, relocation to one of these locations is required, along with working from the office at least 3 days a week. Wargaming fully supports relocation for the candidate and their family.
